Bettie E. JOHNSON, 75, died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, 1959 in Culver Hospital after an illness of __ months. She was born in Montgomery County Nov 9, 1883, the daughter of Jasper and Julia Titus. She married Theodore N. Johnson in 1905 in California. Mr. Johnson was president of the Waveland Sate Bank and preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Waveland Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and ladies Aid Society. Survivors include two sons, Franklin and Richard of Waveland; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon Robison of Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Estella Garrigus and Miss Ruth Titus of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Monday in Waveland Christian Church; burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville. During her last illness, she was cared for by a sister, Ruth Titus. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the board of deacons in Waveland Christian Church. She was employed for a time at the Waveland Telephone Exchange. - transcribed by kbz
